Her first tooth!!
Carly is almost a year old now and is just getting her first tooth. It is one of her top teeth and is just starting to stick through her gums. I am sure that the rest of her teeth can't be too far behind. It doesn't seem to bother her and she is eating just fine.

OceanLakes, Myrtle Beach - September
Honestly, I was just riding in my trailer.
My parents really aren't afraid of me falling on my head.
Now where did those ducks go...

We came back to Ocean Lakes for an extended weekend. This was a fun trip and the weather was great. The days were hot and the nights were cool. We had bought a trailer for our bikes and Carly enjoys riding around. At first she didn't want to wear her helmet, but now she has no problem. She was able to see her first ducks and we believe she now says "duck" or "dog" or "da".....it all sounds the same.

OceanLakes - Myrtle Beach, SC - August
This was our third trip with the camper and we went to Myrtle Beach. OceanLakes campground is huge - almost like a small town. We spent the week here and Carly got to enjoy the beach. We had a real nice site as you can see from the view from our bedroom window.
BethPage Campground - Virginia
Our second trip was to BethPage campground in Virginia. It is located about 30 minutes outside of Williamsburg. This was a quick trip for us and we meet some friends from Maryland. It was a really nice campground and it was fun camping with some friends. Carly had a good time and this was the first time she went swimming (or floating). She likes the turtle we bought for her and the water was really warm. This was a nice campground and we would like to return again. Poor Lisa picked up pink eye while we were here and luckily I was able to get our doctor to call in a prescription so it wasn't too bad.
Four Paws Campground - Rutherfordton, NC
We took our first trip to Four Paws campground in Rutherfordton, NC during the 4th of July holiday. This is close to Asheville and the first time we have ventured into western North Carolina. This campground is tailored towards dog owners (Four Paws) and we thought this would be a good idea. Everything went really well and we had a good time. I participated in a Chilli cookoff (I didn't win) and we were able to test everything on our camper.
A New Adventure
This year we finally did something we have been wanting to do for awhile. We bought ourselves a truck and camper. This has been really good for us with the birth of our daughter Carly and that we like to travel with our dogs. The last year has been an adventure bringing up our daughter and we now look forward to our travels. We plan to share our experiences here along with updates on Carly.
